Butternut germination

Hi Johnboy,
Just thought I would let you know that the instructions you gave me last year I followed this year and so far 100% success on all the curcubits. .
This year I knicked the end of the seed case opposite the scar and put them on their side in 3" pots in an incubator until they just poked the surface and then removed them to a lit warm place. I didn't put them on a damp piece of kitchen roll because I don't have a warm, dark place to start off the germination process but the incubator obviously worked as well.
Thanks again.
Regards
Hilary
