Anybody know how to engrave a block of smooth sandstone to make a house sign? I want to make a combined one for us and our neighbours to put at the end of the drive. I have a small drill that I can get various cutting tools for.

Dear Geoff
what about a router with a grinding bit in it. Use a guiding roller and a letter template.
Or of this is too much bother get in touch with your local funeral directors for the telephone number of their monumental stonemason.
regards Sally Wright.
