What a glorious spring day it has been today.
I've been hard at work on my allotment and allotment site most of the day. See my blog if you're feeling nosy.
So many people on site working away and yet enjoying the spring sunshine, many in T-shirts, finches and tits of various sorts flittering from tree to tree in the hedge.
How has everyone else found today?

Dear Peter, loved your Blog write up, very funny indeed.
It was a lovely day indeed, i just tickled around and did the jobs that needed doing.
Now doesn't that just show how much better with words you are than me,
I explained my day in one sentence.

We continued work on the periphery of our two meadow fields...with a bit of brushcutting of some dyke banks that we failed to get done last year..good and dry so we could quickly dispose of the trimmings. It was originally my Dads hobby but since he is now unable to carry out the work it tends to beat us a little on the time front.
Also spent some time knocking down mole hils in the meadow with a rake...could have used tractor and chain harrow..but there was a problem with the tractor...we haven't got one
Put 3 short rows of Onion sets in when we got home.
..and today a row of Lady Christl tateys went in...and then it was lawn scarify day...out with the old Atco Super Raker, the Wolf Cadet rotary mower as a hoover..and put the stripes back again with the Atco Battery cylinder mower.
In few minutes time I think I will treat it to a sprinkle of granular fertiliser.
Took dad Dad for a drive out in the afternoon....we called at a local nursery and bought a standard rose...delivered it to work and then home via the livery yard and collect of some bags of Horse to give the compost heap a treat.
Clive.

Pointed half my patio on Saturday afternoon, after pricking out lots and lots of seedlings in the ghouse in the morning.
Saw a goldcrest in the garden at one point, never seen one of those before!
