Greater love hath no man than this !

We were meandering round the garden yesterday and I casually said to my husband "You know, if we moved this pond round 90 degrees and repositioned it, I could pinch an extra yard from the lawn right across the depth of my vegetable patch".
Bless him, the Non-Gardener of the Year was up at dawn this morning, emptying the pond water into containers, pulling out the fibre glass structure and repositioning it. It's now back in its new position refilled, and my extra area of veggie patch dug out of the lawn. I'm so amazed that I'm still shaking my head in disbelief! The task was completed just in time - our first frog appeared out of hibernation this afternoon in time for the house warming party!

Hmm, has he told you about the Golf Club fees going up yet?

You need to be extra nice to him now.

Actually I suspect that the local football club season ticket will be going up next year As a great many Saturday afternoons are spent there while I'm out gardening, that may have something to do with it! But as it was a physical task that would have been way beyond my capability, I'm counting my blessings. I do have a number of other little chores lined up for the closed season like repointing the patio, etc !!

It's good to have some jobs lined up for them, keeps them out of mischief :)

I always have one job which my husband really doesn't like doing so that when i ask him to do a job and he pulls his 'i don't think so' face i can say 'well there's always cleaning out the pond', it's amazing how the orginal job suddenly seems less arduous!

hmmm, pointing the patio it would appear is down to me and not my DBF. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
