Earthquake maybe?

About twenty minutes ago my house shook for about a second and I cannot put it down to anything else than a minor earthquake. We have had several tremors over the last 30 odd years I have lived here.
Has anybody else in the North Hereford or South Shropshire had the same experience this morning around 7.30am.
JB.

Hello JB,
It's about a year since the event we had in our area....that was quite something and I was convinced the chimney was going to come down....they did in N. Lincs..
The rattling from up in the roof was pretty scary...

Ever since I have kept an eye on this website http://www.earthquakes.bgs.ac.uk/recent ... vents.html

It seems that every few days there is some movement in some part of the country...it makes for some interesting reading...and there is the option to report an occurance.

All the best,
Clive.

Hi Clive,
Thank you for the website which I shall earmark.
It appears that Ludlow had a tremor on the 15th so possible another today. I am about 10 miles west of Ludlow as the cow flies.

Perhaps it was a cow coming in to land that made the earth move for you JB

Hi Chantal,
It wasn't a spelling mistake this is how it is described locally. We do things in a big way hereabouts!
I suspect the Tigger would still be in the land of nod when this event occurred. (that is if she has a modicum of sense)
JB.

Cheeky b*****!

As I have spent most of my recent time in the land of nod, fighting off pnemonia, I was up with the lark this morning after my first undisturbed night for weeks. I felt almost human and I've been outside in the garden all day. Hurray!

As for trembles, sorry, the earth didn't move for me this morning.

In his RAF days JB didn't fly Hercules, he flew Ermintrude.

"Left horn down a little bit old boy, or you'll miss the runway."

Perhaps the F4 Phantom, stood for Fresian four-legged Phantom?

Hi Shallot Man,
The earth moved for the house and not me!
At my age if I had a tremor I would suspect the onset of Parkinson's disease.
I actually got married in 1952.
JB.
