SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS

Dutifully following the Memsahib round one of our local supermarkets, was looking at the SHIITAKE mushrooms, noticed that they were from CHINA, hows that for air miles.

Dear garden_serf, that reminds me of the trick question i was asked at primary school, what's the heaviest a ton of feathers or a ton of coal. :)

Yes OH...thats a good one. And there's the issue of which item will hit the ground quicker when falling, The apple or the ball of lead.

Reminds me of the chap who used to deliver my veg box. I asked if he could put the potatoes in the same paper bags as the carrots etc instead of using plastic bags. He said he couldn't because 1lb potatoes weighed more than 1lb carrots so they needed a stronger bag :o
