Only got as far as first frost and black Dahlias here, lovely sunny day with fantastic view of the mountains. Picked my time for a long weekend in Scotland starting tomorrow haven't I!

How i wish i could be my awkward self and say it's nice and sunny here, but alas it is sleeting and quite grim.
Luckily i had finished toppig some rather large conifers before it started.
And also lucky, where i was walking on top of the conifers where they have been topped before, i got my foot caught in a bramble and took a tumble, i didn't fall right off but did land on a sawn off branch and now have a good bruise appearing on my leg.
Suppose i will have to get someone to rub some ointment on it for me, wonder if Pongeroon has got any.

No OH. I'll stick with shanks's pony,I was on my way to see my sister ( she's in a respite home) got as far as Broad St.torrential rain by now waited in a bus shelter for 25 minutes to see would it ease off, and then decided to come back home cold and damp.
Wouldn't your old lady down the road rub your bruise for you, hope no real damage done.

Dear Bren, so sorry to hear your Sister is in a respite home, i do hope she is feeling a lot better soon and able to return home.
What a shame you had a wasted journey and also got cold and wet, i do hope you have warmed up now.
I'm sitting in front of a roaring log fire, which is rather pleasant, especially as i can hear the sleet beating against the window.
Thankyou for your concern regarding my fall, luckily it's just a bit of bruising.
As for the old lady down the road, i think i will give it a miss after the last time, only joking.

Dear OH Sorry to hear you have had a fall, you really must be more careful, hope you are not too bruised, enjoy the fire, we too have got our wood burner going too, how lovely. Got to go now as we have missed five minutes of spooks.

Rest tomorrow.
PS: We had snow today

Morning all, everything is white here this morning, it is now freezing like mad, so will make for some dodgy roads.
I will have to be careful on the corners with my wheel barrow.
It's been a good many years since we have had it like this at this time of the year, at least it will give the pests an early sorting.
Dear Catherine, i'm fine this morning, just a little stiff, i think it was my pride that took the biggest bump.
And i will try and be more careful.

OH
I hope your pride and leg are feeling better this morning.
First frost here, three weeks later than usual, though it's mostly the frozen remains of yesterdays hail.

Frost here but no snow - and not too far from you, OH. Beautiful clear blue sky. And we were supposed to get 'wintry showers' today. Maybe it just hasn't reached us yet.

-2.3 degrees in the garden this morning at 7am it is -0.3 now at 8.15. Beautiful day with blue sky at the moment. But I am under the weather and not going to move away from the wood burner today I think.

We go to the Lake District on Saturday so I am trying to get better before then.

Lovely and Sunny in Horncastle - although it was -4c this morning, and still doesn't feel too much warmer now.

The snow hasn't all melted today so it must have stayed pretty nippy.
One more thing, i wonder who the face or faces is behind the KGAdmin.
