Mini Cole Cabbage

How long will mini cole cabbage (the white hard type) keep after harvesting?if I cut and take them into a garage will they keep till Christmas when I use some for coleslaw,at the moment the outside leaves on them are brown mottled.

They will stand quite a time without splitting in the ground. Although not completely frost hardy so keep an eye on the weather.
They will keep a couple of months in the fridge if trimmed and wrapped in cling flim.
Or hang the whole plant, root as well up side down in the garage. It will depend on how dry your garage is how long they keep this way.
