Is it possible to overwinter sweet potato cuttings for planting out next year.

I don't know about overwintering sweet potato cuttings but you can buy a sweet potato from the shops in march and treat it like you would a dahlia tuber and take fresh cuttings.

On GQT last week, Bob F was saying this is the time of year to get them started as they need a long growing period.

I'm going to start mine as soon as my onion seeds have germinated (I need their spot in the propagator!) Last year mine grew well, but were quite small, so a longer growing period than last year should help here, I was a bit late last year looking back.....
