seaweed

hello everyone it the time of the year to collect seaweed that gets washed up on the strand/beach so if you live near the coast seaweed is a very good soil conditioner it also acts as a mulch to keep down weeds . i also use it to make home made seaweed liquid feed.ONLY PICK SEAWEED THAT GETS WASHED UP ON THE SHORE DO NOT CUT AND REMOVE SEAWEED THAT IS NOT ON THE HIGH WATER MARQUE AS IT TAKES UP TO SEVEN YEARS TO REGROW AFTER HARVESATING
i am just letting you know as it is very usefull for a vegetable garden.

Evening Nemo, i live about as far from the coast as you can get, so no seaweed collectng for me. :)

But i'm sure it will help other members of the forum.

I was at the beech yesterday with the dog and there was loads of seaweed about. Next time I go, i'll take a bin bag and start collecting :lol:
