Small pleasures

After an awful summer and two weeks going slow due to a bad back I was feeling it was time to review my gardening etc. But things are never that bad, especially when pleasant things start to happen
In the last few days I have picked and shelled a cracking crop of borlotti - now in the freezer, should see us through till next summer. Sunday ate the first of this year's cockerels with a side-dish of the first picking of late-sown French beans. This morning we had a visit from the village Ysgol feithrin (Nursery school) to look at the hens and ducks.
Feeling better (and more positive) already.
