Lawn weed & feed with Moss Killer

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Hi Brenjon,

You can kill moss with Sulphate of Iron. I actually mix it with Ammonium Sulphate and sand and spread it with a wheeled spreader. I used to mix Sulphate of Iron with water and spray it on but residue kept blocking the jets. I believe that if you mix with water and leave it to stand over night then filter through an old pair of tights it will spray on. I get both products from an agricultural supplier.

Moss is a consequence of a poor lawn, not the other way round and this should be addressed otherwise the moss will return.

If you spread dry make sure it is done on a dry still day and when rain is due.

No doubt more advise will be forthcoming. Hope this is some help.
Regards, Gerry.
