I have seen several refences to cats we suffer their toilet habits both at home and on the plot. One poor guy down there has had all his parsnips carrots etc scratched up.his once neat rows(winner of best plot 7 years in a row)will be all over the place. We invested in an electronic scarer which is useless, the one we bought for mice was great. so any suggestions.i must point out air rifles are out of the question

Hi macmac
I have that problem at home - not just my cats but the
whole neighbourhood it seems. I expect they like the softer
ground.
The really simple thing I do that works is holly leaves scattered
among the precious things. Pricks their little paws - God Bless and
as it dries gets worse. I have also used rose trimmings successfully.

If you see them doing it a water pistol works a treat as they really don't like getting wet and if they don't see you do it it works even better. This is how many cats are trained and doesn't harm the cat, they just hate getting wet.
