That is absolutely vile to look at and more to the point, what IS the point of a marrow that size? Apart from breaking a record :?

I'm just off to the plot for the first time after 3 days of pouring rain, so who knows what I'll come back with. :wink:

Gosh - looks like something the prehistoric monsters would have left behind on the pavement! Bet it tastes foul too. Can't really see the point of growing such stuff, escept for the novelty value. Such a waste of valuable compost and growing space!

How facinating, I would have expected it to sink to the bottom without trace. My two pumpkins are probably the size of .......the knobbly yellow squash in the picture above. I promised my granddaughter that I would grow our own pumpkin for Halloween but I had expected a much larger one as the packet called it Jack o Lantern. I think it wont make lantern size and my OH will have to make it with very small teeth. :roll:
