Reports have been coming of a strange yellow object appearing over the skies of South Wales and other parts of the country. I myself witnessed such an event at 10.16 this morning. For a few brief seconds a dazzling yellow object suddenly appeared, then vanished just as quickly as it had arrived. For these few seconds the whole sky was filled with a wondrous light and I fancied that I heard heavenly music. But it could just have been tinnitus.
Many theories abound and I would be interested to hear what KG readers think. One of wilder ones is that these are the exploding remains of Met Office supercomputers unable to cope with the consequences of global warming. But I rather doubt that as, judging by their efforts these past 2 years they couldn’t forecast a pissup in a brewery when it comes to long-term forecasts. Mind you, for all practical purposes, any forecasts beyond 2 days are usually worthless.
UFO's spotted over the skies of South Wales

Yes Colin, this wondrous sight has happened here today as well. I actually also spotted very briefly, a snake-like creature (probably a slow worm) basking in its warm atmosphere on our lawn this morning. However, it rapidly disappeared from sight when I approached and disappeared into our heather border. He probably couldn't believe it either!

Colin
It didn't appear over this "other part of the country".
Of course it could have been the moon - after all it's been dark as night here for days now

The yellow oject has taken rather a liking to Milton Bryan, i have even had to take shelter from the heat it is emitting.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Dear Alan, i suppose a light shower after this heatwave won't do any harm.

Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH
Looking out of the window now I can see the yellow object. But it's more over Ireland than Milton Bryan. It does get about

The bright yellow orb was missing for the entire time we were in Wales.....just a lot of grey clouds, strong winds one night that nearly had the tent over and us lot in waterproofs and wellies the entire week
Still, it was fabulous
