Bit's-n-bobs in OH's garden.

This week I was privileged to be granted the immense favour of a tour around OH's little cottage garden.

I noticed at the start of the tour that the bees in Milton bryan are quite well nourished insects.

As we turned the corner we espied the smaller of OH's greenhouses in the distance.

Inside the plants were doing pretty well.

The water feature was not what Old codger had led us to believe, being fairly restrained and not the least oversized.
Image

A few small flowers were dotted around the undergrowth.
Image

We found a notice tucked away round one corner explaining how the staff were paid, which explains Old Codgers previous comments.

As we got to the boundary of OH's estate we caught a glimpse over the hedge of the more modest property that is seemingly Old Codger's.

The staff did not say much while their master was present, they just got on with the hoeing.
Image

OH had even hung out the flags in our honour, many of them had witty comments upon them, such as "Hoe harder!".

On the door of one of the smallest sheds we found that OH had not forgotton his roots.
Image

Some of OH's planting displayed traces of the effects of global warming.

Indeed one of the raised beds had a distinctly tropical flavour.

OH, thank you so much for permitting us humble mortals to peruse your gardening paradise.
