Is is OK for fully grown hens to eat Growers pellets as we have 2 grown hens and now 4 8 week old chicks which are out together so therefore they eat each others food. I have lifted the layers pellets and thought that it would be ok for them all to eat the Grower pellets, would this be OK????

It doesn't look as though anyone is going to reply, so here goes. I have never used growers pellets - I have always transferred my chicks from chick crumbs straight to layers pellets and a bit of mixed corn.
As I understand it, growers pellets are slightly higher in protein than layers pellets, so they are unlikely to do the older birds any harm. A bit of extra protein is always handy when hens come into moult.
The only thing I keep my layers well away from is medicated chick crumbs. The coccidiostat(s) in the crumbs means that eggs cannot be eaten. If your growers pellets are not medicated you are OK.
