hello, i have just bought a hop vine on a whim :lol:

i obviously know about hops for brewing, but i have heard the shoots in the spring are very tasty has anyone tried them?? :?:

Hi Bazza
Known as 'Poor mans asparagus'Once rootstock of hops established they can handle the early flushes being cut.
I've tried them and found them ok.

Yes, they taste OK, but have a bit of a furry texture.
