Do Mice eat Tomatoes?

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

I have found mouse like droppings on my tomato plants and some tomatoes look to have been eaten!

Do mice eat tomatoes?

Presumably they are after the seeds in the tomatoes. They certainly nibble rosehips to get at the seeds.

Hi Roland,

They could well be mouse droppings, but as you say mouse like, they are more likely to be caterpillar droppings I would think. As the caterpillar gets bigger and fatter on your tomatoes, the droppings it leaves behind get ever bigger, and very mouse like. And yes, they do eat tomatoes as well as the leaves. Check under the leaves, you may find a few.
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........
