Yes! Up to my knees in raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries. Jam making for 8 hours yesterday

Yes, great crop of strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, red currants, black currants and the cherries are almost ready.
Picked pounds of mangetout peas yesterday and had a look how much they were in the shop - £1.99 for 150g. Getting a bit sick of cucumbers - got 10 off it yesterday. I thought about putting a table at the end of the path but the council have housed some very dodgy people in some flats nearby so I'm not sure how long an honesty box would stay put, barring welding it to the gate.
When you look at the shop prices it is amazing how much money we are saving by growing our own, and we also have the pleasure of choosing varieties we particularly like for flavour and colour, and they are so fresh straight from the garden they must be packed with vitamins - aren't we lucky. The best hobby in the world.

Its all looking pretty good here at the moment - plenty of raspberries, gooseberries and currants and loads of apples are forming (very little drop so far) but sadly no plums or apricots this year, must have suffered with a late frost.

All the soft fruit has been superb here too.
Apples are looking good but like John very short on plums and no damsons.
Busy making lots jam and beetroot chutney.

Isn't it lovely! I can't remember a year when we've had so much that we can't keep up with the picking of it.
We're awash with soft fruit and the apples and pears look promising but like John - no stoned fruit.

Lots of soft fruit here too. Have made a Gooseberry Fool from our own gooseberries for our Pudding Club meeting tonight. (Dear OH - not THAT kind of Pudding Club !!) but it's a very enjoyable event, and I bet some of the others will be bringing puddings made from their home grown crops too.
