Kohl rabi looking sick

I have some kohl rabi which are suddenly starting to look rather sick with the leaves wilting and looking as if they're going to drop off. I wondered if it could be club root, but the adjacent Cavalo Neo, PS Broccoli and cabbages all seem fine. Can anybody suggest what might be the cause, and suggest remedy. As it's almost impossible to buy kohl rabi, I'm very anxious not to lose them.

Have you been watering your veg?

I only ask because, despite the unsummery weather of the last few weeks, the soil on our allotment here in Bristol is not moist at all. Many of our Brassicas have bolted

I have a small patch of purple Kohl Rabi and (once I protected them with some netting) they have been growing ok. The bases are only just showing signs of swelling, but the plants look ok'ish.

The easiest way to find out is to lift one plant, and check the roots.
Then all you may lose is that actual plant!

As I have club root, I always sprinkle about half a normal yogurt carton of lime into and around the hole I plant brassicas into.

And Kohl rabi is part of the family!

I hope it is not club root, just a water problem!

Could it be cabbage root fly? I have lost three cauliflowers to cabbage root fly this year, not other brassicas are affected. If you lift the plant and it's sort of chewed off at soil level, it might be this little pest.l
