Always seems to be a problem with us. All the varieties have it to a greater or lesser degree except the Gardeners Delight which are OK.

I thought it was supposed to be due to the plants not getting enough water, but ours have been very carefully watered this year. Whats going on??

It's usually due to a fine balance between enough and too little water. It's not just about regular watering, but how that lasts out the day in the soil. I've found water retaining granules has eliminated it.
