Hi

I have missed the last couple of programs, When did Toby Buckland start :?: Is he just a new presenter for the program or the face of Gardeners World :?

Regards

Kevin

Toby Buckland has taken over as main presenter according to BBC

Can't pass any opinions yet, as, being in Wales, we had the weekly religious broadcast instead of GW - in other words ******g rugby

We have just come back from a week just outside Builth Wells. Last night we sat down to watch Gardeners World new presenter when we found B****y rugby. Had to make a quick phone call to my MIL to ask her to record it for us. So not watched it yet because we have just got back tonight.

I like him and I assume KG is pleased with ther choice as he's a regular contributor to the magazine.

I do hope he continues to feature Aylss, Joe, Sarah and Carol.

Hi

You didn't miss much. I'm sure Toby is a very nice chap etc, but the programme was basically establishing him as the new Number 1. A bit like when you have a new boss at work and he walks round smiling and asking questions, and everyone pretends to be really busy. Joe and Carol were definitely relegated to supporting roles. The programme followed its usual format - brief coverage of lots of topics but no real depth. I sometimes wonder who their target audience is. And Toby planted his overwintering onion sets - why didn't Joe do this on his allotment?
