I cut my first two small cauliflowers today and when I pulled the roots out found they had clubroot, we haven't had this before, I had put a ring of lime around the plant at planting time like my husband used to do, I have bagged the roots to get rid of them, my question now is there any thing I can do to that patch of ground before planting any thing else there?.

Sorry to read that Bren.
I've only had it once & that was from bought in plants - is this an indication?
Only thing I can suggest is to excavate a square metre from around the plant, lime the pit & replace some good soil back.
If your ground is 'infected' generally, I would advise not growing brassicas for 10 yrs.
However, this is drastic. If you rotate your crops on, ideally, a 4yr. cycle, & lime each plant site you may achieve brassica crops.
