A friend of mine has two apple trees both a couple of years old

The apples have dropped off the branches bar a couple - does anyone know why this would be?

One is a Worcester Permain and the other is a Peasgood Nonesuch.

Thanks x

Dear Franksmum, sounds like what they always call June drop. The trees often drop a lot of apples at this time of the year, but being a young tree it might be getting a little stressed.
I would think the tree needs a good drink.

too dry is the most likely cause of all the apples falling, the june drop is normally a thinning out process which leaves the crop the tree thinks it can carry to maturity :D
