Hi, I have zero fruit on each of the following, Greengage, Victoria Plum, & Fiesta. Anyone else have the same problem ? :(

yes..... both plums and apples are poor or non existant. the bush fruits seem to be doing well though.

Apples fine - no plums at all.

We are the same as Alan - but there were three or four days of heavy frost when the plum and damson trees were in flower so it isn't a surprise.

The bramleys look fine and a (roughly) 10 year old Charles Ross looks as though it might have a decent crop for the first time.

I actually had no blossom on the plums, so weather was not a subsequent factor.

Dear Alan, maybe the weather was a problem even before you thought it wasn't a problem, if you see what i mean. :?

There is huge amounts of Elderberry flower about this year, the hedgerows look quite gay.

No damsons for me either, there were hundreds of flowers, so must have been a frost. However, it really isn't a problem, as I am still dealing with the 30lbs I picked last year. The damson wine is particularly good! :P

Could it be lack of pollination? We have not seen nearly as many bees this year as usual although there are more about now than there were a month ago.

We had the snow when the plums and damsons were in flower so I think it was lack of insects for pollunation. No damsons and very few plums or cherries.
Apples are fine though and plenty of soft fruit.

Beryl.

I've lots of plums, apples and cherries, but no pears this year. We've had a lot of frost so I'm surprised about the plums setting.

Only 2 plums on my 4 year old tree this year, and only 1 pear on 3 young trees that did quite well last year. They were all in full bloom when we had that late frost, so that's where I'm pointing the finger. Very disappointing.

Lots of blossom on apples and plum - more than usual - but very little fruit - just 2 plums :( Apples Discovery and Falstaff - the Discovery has got a few fruits but next to nothing on the Falstaffs. did try and fleece up the Plums but think I was too late - frost got them.
