... locking a chicken in a greenhouse has to be high on the list

Mercifully my neighbour noticed one of the Three Stooges was AWOL and started looking around; he found her taking a dust bath in the greenhouse.

I found the place semi trashed when I got home from the lottie as presumably she tried to get out. There were feathers all over the place, including the top shelves!

I've rescued most things but as several pots of basil seeds (sown yesterday) were upside down on the grow bags and there are French beans everywhere, who knows what will grow where

Note to self: I MUST CHECK BEFORE CLOSING THE DOOR :!:

Hi Chantal,

Easy mistake to make when you're not used to multi-tasking like us men

Hope you get it sorted and don't lose too many plants.
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

Very funny you two

It was so cold here at lunchtime that I had to come back from the plot to get some more clothes, like a fleece  in June  I decided if I was that cold I may as well shut the greenhouses up too. Didn't look, just pulled to door across.

I've had to re-sow a few things but apart from that I've rescued everything, I think.

Hi Chantal,

Glad you got it sorted out. Very stressful when it happens though isn't it. It always looks worse than it is.
Cheers PJ.

I don't even know which one it was, the Three Stooges are identical and they'd all gone to bed by the time I got home. Neighbour said she was fine and quite happily having a dust bath on the greenhouse floor. They often do this and leave me damn great craters to fall into

He's not snooping, he's on the staff!

Jim looks after my chickens for me (I do let them out in the morning in the summer) and has done since I has a knee operation around 7 years ago and needed help.

He's retired and around all day which is great for my little flock. He lets them in and out of the run into the gardens, checks up on them every couple of hours, adores them and spoils them rotten. He makes my life easy in this respect and I don't know how I'll manage without him. We have a gate halfway down our back gardens so he just scoots in and out and says he talks to the chicks for some sensible conversation
