My daughters next door neighbour has just been given a 12 months sentence suspended for 2 years for molesting two of my granddaughters! I can't tell you how annoyed I am.

Hello Johnsgirl

I have sympathy with you, I'm afraid British justice now pays little regard for the victims of crimes and is only concerned about making excuses for the criminal.

My youngest son was the victim of a drunk driver many years ago, he was knocked off his cycle and suffered serious head injuries that resulted in a brain injury when he was 15 years old. He has never been able to work and has many cognitive problems resulting from the accident. The drunk driver had only just got his licence back after being previously banned for drink driving, he then choose to drink in his lunch time and then ruin my youngest sons life - he just got a further driving ban.

We can only hope for politicians with understanding of the victims suffering and give the innocent some justice but I don't think the present (or previous) lot care a damn.

Best wishes

Barney

Dear Johnsgirl and Barney, i'm really saddened to hear both your stories.
I think the punishments dealt out to the criminals, never ever take into account how it alters not only the victim, but their whole family.
I think both these cases prove the point and are an absolute disgace.

It's one thing in life that does make me very angry, and theres not many.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

There's no fool like an old fool.
