Given that our allotment has grown from 7 to 17 to 30 members within the last two years, we can now afford public liability insurance. What is the best way to get this and how much does it cost?

We have just joined NSALG and taken out insurance through them. The cost for both was £3 per member.

Barry. as an afterthought. I presume you are running your own site, we add the cost of the NSALG membership to the annual rent,[though show it as a separate item]membership is compulsory. as regards the SWCA, this is for individuals that wish to have cover in this age of litigation, We took over from the local council some five years ago, the best thing we ever done, we went from thirteen empty plots, to closing the waiting list at 20.

Best of luck.

As with Shallot Man, we run our own site and NSALG membership and insurance is compulsary and part of the rent.
