We have several aubergine, pepper and cucumber plants on our kitchen windowsill - we had hoped to put them outside in the warmer weather. However the sun has yet to show its face for any length of time...will they be OK in pots on the windowsill do you think?

Yes, but make sure they're not getting pot bound. Pop them out of their pots and if they're a mass of roots you'll need to put them in larger pots.
