I don't know if it is the right place for this, but could we not have a virtual veg show either on this site or in the mag, as we all use PC's it would be easy to upload a piccy or two of our prized veg so lovingly nurtured from cradle to grave (so to speak), anyone else think it is a good idea?

Dear pump_king, i think it is a wonderful idea so we can see how other peoples veg are doing.
But i do struggle to come to terms with how to get photos on here. But thats just me for you.

yes good idea, but it would have to come with easy instructions. As you can see I still have the picture of my son with his pumpkins when he was 5, he's 10 now but i've no idea how i uploaded it or how to change for a new one!

We need Clive to teach us his thumbnail technique and a standard for picture size / file size to make loading consistent but yes a great idea; no classes, judging or prize cards though.

Hey Presto....
Never one to miss a chance to post a photo.
...here are a couple from last Friday...
....when still lacking the rain...
........and when the weeds in the path only looked small
Two rows of Radio Peas with Ash sticks...couple of wigwams of Runner Beans...two rows Celeriac and the small Asparagus bed beyond..
..and a view across the Herb Garden...
Both are clickable thumbnails that then open a page from Photobucket which is where I host photos that I use on forums.
The Photobucket website generates and offers links to copy and paste straight into the reply pane on the forum. I suspect the many other hosting sites do likewise...
Lurking somewhere in the website help section I believe there are some more threads with photo posting info..and practise threads from members first attempts at photo posting.
All the best,
Clive...the forums second clock winder

Hello Mandylew,
You need not worry about the photo of your young chap....
...my avatar photo is still of me age two and a half
This avatar photo would be changed by going to "profile" where I think there may be the details of size permitted and the options to delete current and upload new etc.
Clive.
