I bet most of you will shout no, no no!! to that, but honestly we have hardly had any this month. I have just totted up our rainfall total for May (I have kept a small weather station for years) and we have had just short of 30mm (just over one inch) of rain all this last month. Even on Wednesday, when it poured down not far from us, i only rained very lightly here. Must be shielded by the Pennines or something. We planted our last brassicas this morning (other than spring cabbage) and watered them in well, so we hope they'll survive.

NO, No more rain for a while, just back from a holiday in Eastbourne, rained Monday, Tuesday night, Wednesday from lunch time, Thursday from lunch time till 7.30pm, and by the amount of water in my water butt it rained quiet a bit here in the West Midlands while I was away.
