Helenium suffering

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Hi Trying a cut garden of mostly hardy annuals but all my helenium are suffering. They are about 9" tall with about 6 leaves each but the leaves have black marks inside them and the leaves are curling. They don't look well. Any ideas?
When I out them out they were slloking so great.

Dear Penny, i have seen this before on young Helenium plants, i'm not sure, but i think it may be Capsid bugs that cause the problem.
The plants seem to grow out of it, but you could pick the affected leaves off as long as they are not all affected.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH thanks for this. I ralise I wrote the wrong name I meant to say Helianthus. May not make a difference. I might try taking a picture to see if that helps.
