Dear Di, i'm sure we will all be thinking of you, as we enjoy ourselves outside tending the soil.

I have been on the plot since 7.30am this morning...what a lovely warm sunny spring day...the birds are singing and the local church bells were lovely.
Me sadistic...NEVER

I was bought a mug which says
"Gardening Forever
Housework Whenever"
Says it all really and the same goes for DIY.
Been a cracking day on the old lottie

Sorry Di I do feel for you. There have been many times when I have had to stay in the house to do jobs when I really want to be outside. But today is not one of them. We worked in our garden at home from early till about 2.30 then we went to the lottie and dug a bed over ready for cabbages. But silly me only put sun cream on my arms as I was wearing a large hat. But I forgot I had my head down and I am now suffering from sun burn on my neck. Very hot and feeling sorry for my self. So I am cooling it internally with white wine and it seems to be working very slowly. Did anyone have rain today? We have got our granddaughter tonight and she loves the lottie so she will be coming up with me early tomorrow morning to water before I take her to school. Then back to the lottie tomorrow for the day. Yippee.

the DIY is sort of done, hardboard now covers my lousy floorboards and at least some of the skirting is painted. The carpet fitters for whom all this effort was directed, are due early and then i have the choice of going into work for the rest of the day or taking it off.
Mmmm, decisions, decisions...

That'll be the rest of the day on the lottie then, right?
