like a lot of plotholders I am despareately preparing ground for stuff to go into, can I plant summer cabbage where spring cabbage has just been pulled..? Thankfully I do not appear to suffer from Brassica diseases, notwithstanding the usual pests. So clubroot probably would not be an issue.

My only other option is ground that was manured last autumn would this be too rich? I have reorganised my plot and hope to practice proper rotation next time.

Morning Compo, where i try and get two sometimes three crops of a piece of land in one year, i often end up planting the same thing in the same ground.
As long as you put something back after each crop and always keep your eyes open for any disease it should be fine.
But you could also grow them on your manured plot as they are summer cabbage, as long as it wasn't manured to heavily, if so they might grow a bit to leafy and not heart up properly.
