I don't usually sow winter brassicas this early and rely on local bare root plants, but this year I have planted some of my own seed, topline is the strain I think, they are now only two weeks old and are three inches high, I sowed them in the unheated greenhouse, so have now put them in a closed cold frame to check them, they look a bit leggy...Am I too early?

Hmmnnnn - I've just sown mine a week ago and they don't look too bad. Is it worth planting them deeply, as you would tomatoes. Just a guess - don't know enough about them. :?

I don't sow seed until early May for sprouts but I am with Tigger on this one Compo, repot up to the seed leaves and you should be OK. They will make stronger plants.

Thanks I will do that but as they are only two inches and very thin, l will leave them to get a bit beefier before I pot them on in the manner you ahve all advised
