Has anybody tried overwintering mangetout in a cold greenhouse or tunnel? If so which varieties have been successful?
I sowed Sugar Ann and Golden Sweet in tubs on 27th September in a cold greenhouse. I fleece them overnight when seriously frosty. The results are interesting - on the left the short Sugar Ann, which are now starting to show a bit of effort, and on the right the vigorous Golden Sweet with their pretty mauve flowers (pity they are not quite as good to eat).

What a wonderful looking plant, Geoff. I have only managed to grow the sugar pea Norli, and my first sowings of these are in autumn. They overwinter outside, but never get like yours!
