Returned yesterday from spending Easter away to find that the compost in my parsnip planted loo rolls had completely dried out, despite giving them a good soaking before I left. As the seeds were on the point of shooting, have I lost them or is it worth perservering? I fear that even if they do germinate and throw up shoots, I might end up with spindly plants which never recover.

Dear Primrose i think i would empty one out and see if the root has dried out completely, if it looks quite healthy you might be alright with the others.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
