NORFOLK GREENHOUSES

Sometime back in 2006 when I first joined the forum I replied to a posting re greenhouses when Chantel had made a comment that a Norfolk greenhouse would fall to bits at the first gust of wind when I said that I had erected one with no problem. I feel I must speak in defense of Norfolk Greenhouses as mine has come through the worst 2 days of storms for several years totally unscathed.
Still enjoying the mag and picking up lots of tips.

Malcs, I'm so pleased you had more luck than me, is yours semi rigid UPV as mine was?
My main problem was putting the thing together in the first place and I know Seedling had a similar problem.
Good luck for the future

mine took me two days to construct .and personally i think the lower plastic is a bit flimsy where there are no bracing bars.but as long has you screw the GH down they will withstand a good storm as proven

The greenhouse was the rigid plastic type.
Where I thought the bracing wasn't particularly good I drilled extra holes and fitted extra bolts.
Also what I did following Chantelles email was to invest in a roll of greenhouse glazing tape and made sure all the glazing was secure to the roof. hope this helps.
