Hi all
Thought I'd try Rootrainers this year so have bought a 20 pack.
Could you recommend the best plants to try them on as I start sowing for the new season.
Thanks
David
Root Trainers are best used for?

I have used them for years, ever since they first appeared and find them really useful: broad beans, peas and sweet peas early in spring, when they are planted, the same root trainers are used for runner beans and French dwarf beans. All this applies to the taller version.
The shorter version is very useful for parsnips (after pre-germinating them on damp paper, see the thread on 'parsnips'), beetroot, lettuce, herbs and no doubt very many other plants.
The shape of the RTs really encourages the roots to grow downwards and with them opening up like a book, they can be planted without any root disturbance.
I don't have shares in the RT company, honest!!
