I think I'm hallucinating...

http://wngd.org/

I can guarantee I will NOT be taking part in this. The allotment is next to a public (Rugby Club) field and I could give my elderly neighbour a heart attack.

Actually our plot is next to a rugby club and a few years ago i was with my son, then 4 in the adjacent childrens playpark when a large number of naked rugby players emerged, did a lap of the field and went back in again, I don't know if this was a regular part of the training but have not witnessed it since

Be assured I will not be taking part in world naked gardening day either!

We have hundreds of tourists going past our allotment on our local steam train line, so at least they would only get a momentary glimpse of us in our birthday suits!
Judging by today's weather when the wind blew through all my five layers of clothing on the allotment, I am never likely to discard the lot.

I receive a newsletter from Innocent Drinks OH, they were talking about it on there. I don't go LOOKING for this stuff!

I am sending it to my friend David who doesn't need an excuse to strip off. He's been on the World Naked Bike Ride several times, is a born again Druid so spends time sitting bare assed in woods whilst whittling and goes wandering around the environs of Rugby in early hours as naked as a jay bird. He's absolutely lovely too :D

I thought there would be a valid explanation Chantal. :D

I'm not sure i agree with people being about in public with no clothes on though, maybe i'm just a little old fashioned.

It sounds rather dangerous to me - too many creepy crawlies and thorny plants, not to mention the weather.

That chap they featured on TV a couple of years ago who looked like a viking with a pink posing pouch looked rather interesting though.

I would think pruning and trimming the paths with shears would be fraught with danger

To me, gardening is about the gardening and not what I'm wearing (or not) and think how much sun block they'll need!

I suppose the amount of sun block people would need would vary hugely.
