.Hopefully the liitle B`s will fall off the bike and get RSI winding the radio up.
Spent the afternoon in the garden and greenhouse humming

I wondered where you were today, now I know, what a bummer!
If I see anyone cycling round Rugby with a wind up radio instead of an ipod, I'll be sure to shove something through their spokes.
No consolation, but it could have been worse, they could have trashed your greenhouse

Yes that did cross my mind. I should be thankful for small mercies -still annoyed though.

Sorry it's happend to you Seedling. Hopefully, the handle will fall off the radio and they'll dent their front spindle and fall off the bike. There is divine justice out there

Isn't it strange when we Brits have something happen like this we tend to try to console ourselves and look at the positives (which is fine) but it doesn't detract from the fact that some low life has stolen/damaged something that doesn't belong to them.
The trouble is the blighters get away with it more often than not

Its not fair is it, you work hard for things and some mindless person takes it away, we have to lock everything up, alarm it, code it, photograph it etc.
It does not seem that we have to suffer and the theives benefit, I wish I had an answer, well I do .... but its not printable / or enough space to put it here, symathies to you Seedling any theft is quite a violating process so I know how you feel.

i hope the theft was reported to plod, otherwise they will be spouting about the falling crime figures again.
mother in law was burgled recently, they actually cught the culprit, who confessed to umpteen others all commited whilst on bail.... the whole system is a shambles... we need either more prisons to keep repeat offenders off the streets, or a much cheeper solution would be 24 hours in the stocks, with the street lights turned off

Yes Richard we did report it to the police. Got a crime number to add to the others we`ve collected over the years.nothing will be done about it though unfortunately

Dear Seedling, maybe you could put an add in your village shop, saying, Wanted one Mans cycle and Wind up radio.
You never know, you might get lucky and be able to buy them back.
Hope that makes you smile and doesn't upset you.

Hello Seedling
Sorry to hear your news. When this happened to us a few years ago the two officers who came to investigate suggested (tongue in cheek, I must say) that we should go round the local car boot sales for a couple of weeks because that's where most of this stuff ends up.

I can recommend superglue and a decoy.
(with a small printed warning that you can point to afterwards)
