Anyone any idea of the correct soil PH value for growing Comfrey?

Dear Colin, Comfrey will grow best if grown in a soil with a p.H level of between 6.0 to 7.0, and they also like a rich deep soil.
If you can provide this you can get up to five cuts a year.

Thanks!
Hi Colin,
As OH has said PH 6-7 but no higher. I have a natural PH of 7 and in order to lower that slightly I dose the Comfrey with Pigs Slurry in about the next couple of weeks. This one hit lasts the Comfrey for the entire year. Bit of a smelly job and a lingering one but it is well worthwhile.
If you cannot get hold of Pigs Slurry then if you have FYM make up a bucket or two of slurry and dose them with that. Fresher manure rather than old mature stuff.
JB.
