Some of our Cavolo Nero plants are starting to flower. Should I cut the tops off and throw them away so that the rest of the plant throws out some more shoots, or do you think we could eat the budding tops (like broccoli)?

We've eaten our tops and are now getting side shoots, though I bought the seeds so long ago it was called Tuscan Black Cabbage.

yes, just eat the tops and lovely new shoots will sprout from where you cut them.

Eat them! I tend to grow other kales specially for the sprouting flower shoots - most are much nicer than broccoli.

We'll eat them! Thanks for your advice.
