Sungold toms & blight

As it's that time of year for getting the tom seeds going, I've been looking through last year's August/September postings on toms.
I grew sungold last year and despite everything else dying very quickly with blight, my sungold held on really well and still cropped prolifically - this was outdoors, too. I notice a few other forum members commenting similarly. What has been the general experience here?
As I say, mine held on very well, but the plants, as they were from F1 seed, were exceptionally strong and robust. Incidentally, I didn't bother to grow them as cordons and gave up nipping off all the side shoots after a while, which really just seemed to extend the crop.

My Sungold have always been fairly resistant to blight - even though surrounded by other varieties with blight.
I usually sideshoot until about mid-August, and when the bottom trusses are picked let the sideshoots run into the top of the polytunnel - great late crop (though sometimes out of reach!) into November if lucky.
I hope to be sowing tomorrow.
