Hi all, what a week we've had with the weather it's been dreadful for getting on our plots but I've still managed to get some useful things done to update you with, regards Steve.

Last Sat in Jan I planted a number of garlic cloves round the edges of the beds I'll use for roots. I dug up some useful celeriac [it's been a good crop this season] and noticed that the Purple Cape [sown July] is showing smallish heads on a few plants. I hope the heads will grow before I pick them, but they are in raised beds and maybe not planted deeply enough. I haven't been on the plot this w/e - too busy.

Thanks for the reply Mike, yes the Purple Sprouting is wonderful at this time of year when picked and eaten within hours, have you any tips for achieving a good crop of Celeriac? regards Steve.
