Biodynamics is the science of planting seeds or plants by the gravitational forces of the sun and moon, (no this does not mean planting seeds or plants at midnight whilst running around naked as I have heard it described).
Each month of the year is dived into Northern and Southern hemispheres and for each hemisphere there is approximately 14 days of planting and 14 days of ground preparation. Each day has its own group of seeds/plants for the influences of the sun, moon and constellations.
Seeds/plants are broken down into 4 groups:
Roots - Swedes beetroot celariac scorzonera potatoes & Onions.
Leaf - Examples of the leaf group would be cabbage, spinach, endive, parsley kohl rabi & cauliflower.
Flowers - linseed rapeseed sunflower & lavender.
Fruit - beans peas sweetcorn tomatoes cucumber pumpkins courgette & fruit bearing bushes and trees.

looked it up on the web and then got the books from Amazon, great winter reading, all I need to do now is put it into practice on half my allotment this year to compare yields.
If I can't eat it I don't grow it
