Chicken labelling - I'm confused

We normally buy our chicken from our butcher so don't often see them wrapped in plastic, so can somebody please explain what the "Tractor" symbol means accompanied by the words "Assured Food Standard". I'm familiar with Free Range, Organic and the RSPCA Freedom Food concepts, but not sure exactly what this symbol tells me about how the food was reared or produced.

Hi Primrose

Red Tractor means produced in Britain - but difficult to define what else is assured. To me it's just a con.

See FOE's opinion which you may or may not agree with.
