Was in a well known store on Thursday [Memsahib busily spending my money] noticed the above, was puzzled how they trained the bees. Shallot man

Where was the honey from? Probably imported - if it comes from a natural forest area, it will be "organic". We used to be able to buy Zambian organic honey from forests.

As Bees will fly up to 3 miles in any direction in search of pollen/necter,that gives a 6 mile circle from the Hive. There cannot be many farms in this country of this size that can guarantee organic status. I guess there may be some of the huge estates in the scottish highlands that could qualify.
Who knows where or how Honey is produced if it comes from abroad, sometimes including the use of chemicals that would be banned from use here, remember Chinese honey being banned from import into the eec because it contained antibiotics.
In my opinion you cannot beat Honey from your local Beekeeper, but then I might just be a tad biast
