I planted some leeks last summer, now I have noticed that two have started to go to seed, can I still harvest them or will they be too tough to eat?? :?

I don't need any more seed as I have plenty so don't need to collect any.

Any ideas?

They've come to the end of their natural and want to reproduce! Get them harvested and use the outer leaves, not the flower stalk (too tough) but they are only likely to be any good for soup or something like that.
